MOTION BY SUPERVISOR ZEV YAROSLAVSKY

(RELATES TO ITEM NO. 12)

I MOVE THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

close the public hearing;
indicate that we have reviewed and considered the information contained in the proposed environmental impact report, environmental findings and statement of overriding considerations before us today, which were prepared for the adoption of the Santa Monica Mountains North Area Plan and the revisions to the County Highway and Bikeway plans, and indicate that we have determined that the EIR adequately assesses the associated environmental impacts, including the revisions to the Santa Monica Mountains North Area Plan described in this motion; and
indicate our intent to approve the Santa Monica Mountains North Area Plan and Highway and Bikeway plan amendments with the revisions to the Land Use Map and Plan language noted in attachments 1 and 2, and instruct staff to make the changes necessary to reflect this intended decision in the environmental documentation and in the plan amendment documents and return such documents to us for certification of the EIR and adoption of General Plan Amendment 97-181.
