December 28, 1999 YAROSLAVSKY APPOINTS WESTSIDE ATTORNEY KENNETH D. ROZELL TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL SERVICES PANEL Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has appointed Valley Village resident Kenneth D. Rozell, an attorney with the firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips L.P., to the Los Angeles County Commission on Local Governmental Services. "I'm delighted to welcome Ken as my newest appointee on this panel," Yaroslavsky said. "As a former member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Local Government Section and of the League of California Cities' City Attorney Division, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table in this area." Prior to joining the Manatt firm, Rozell was an attorney with Burke, Williams & Sorensen, where he represented a number of public entities and served as Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Bellflower, Camarillo, Dana Point, El Monte, and Moorpark. He was actively involved in forging County/city partnerships for public safety, planning and animal control services. Duties of the 21-member Local Governmental Services Commission include an ongoing examination of intergovernmental jurisdictional alternatives to provide more responsive and cost-effective municipal services to the public.
