YAROSLAVSKY REAPPOINTS JULES DRAZNIN TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced the reappointment of Los Angeles resident Jules N. Draznin to the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging.

"I'm very pleased that Jules has agreed to continue his service as one of my appointees to the Commission," Yaroslavsky said. "As a retired communications professor and active member in the American Association of Retired Persons and other organizations, he brings energy and expertise to the Commission’s advocacy and educational efforts."

Yaroslavsky noted that Draznin has spent more than four decades in communications, journalism, and teaching in the Los Angeles Community College District system. He holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and a Master’s in Higher Education.

Duties of the 45-member Aging Commission include advising the Board of Supervisors and various County departments offering services to the aging, assisting local communities and groups in developing services for seniors, providing a general education program aimed at promoting self-sufficiency in the County's senior community, and raising general public consciousness on senior issues.
