YAROSLAVSKY REAPPOINTS BEVERLY HILLS ACTIVIST BARBARA A. FINE TO WATER APPEALS BOARD

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced the reappointment of community activist and Beverly Hills resident Barbara A. Fine to the Los Angeles County Water Appeals Board.

"I'm very pleased that Barbara will continue serving as one of my appointees to the Board," said Yaroslavsky, who initially named Fine to the panel in February 1996. "As a community activist engaged in solid-waste management, planning and water-use issues, and homeowner concerns, she has a great feel and sensitivity to the areas addressed by this Board."

Fine's community affiliations include membership in the Federation of Hillside and Canyon Associations, the Benedict Canyon Association, and PLAN/LA.

The 10-member Water Appeals Board is responsible for acting on appeals from decisions or determinations made under the County Code requiring minimum levels of fire protection performance for water supply facilities serving unincorporated areas.
