YAROSLAVSKY REAPPOINTS BRENTWOOD RESIDENT HAL ROSS TO COUNTY BEACH COMMISSION

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has reappointed Brentwood resident Hal Ross to the Los Angeles County Beach Commission.

"I’m delighted that Hal has agreed to continue representing the coastal interests of the Third District on the Commission," Yaroslavsky said. He noted that Ross, a past Chair of the panel, has served continuously on various city and County commissions and boards for the past 24 years, including the Catalina Island Conservancy.

Ross is currently active as a television and motion picture producer and agent. Formerly President of Filmways Television, he is a member of the motion picture and television academies, as well as the Hollywood Radio and Television Society. His community involvement includes serving as President of the Carbon Beach Homeowners Association.

Yaroslavsky’s Third District includes the portion of the California coast from Venice to the Los Angeles/Ventura County line, and he appoints seven of the Commission’s 20 members. Their duties include the review of all beach projects and service in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors.
