Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced the reappointment of architect William S. Duff, Jr. a resident of Westwood, to the Los Angeles County Small Craft Harbors Design Control Board. He was initially appointed by Yaroslavsky to the panel in January 1998.

"I’m very glad that Bill has agreed to continue representing me on the Design Board," Yaroslavsky said. "His experience and skill in the field are widely recognized, and we’re fortunate to have a professional of his caliber advising us."

Currently a member of Kanner Architects, Duff holds a Bachelor's in Architecture from Cornell and a Master’s in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Prior to joining Kanner, he worked at the Santa Monica architecture firm of Stone Marraccini & Patterson. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects.

Duties of the five-member Board include examining all construction work being performed at any County harbor or marina under contract to assure compliance and conformity, as well carrying out any other related duties as the Board of Supervisors may request.
