YAROSLAVSKY APPOINTS LETICIA MUNIZ TO COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH COMMISSION

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced the appointment of Van Nuys resident Leticia Muniz to the Los Angeles County Mental Health Commission.

Muniz has long been involved in mental health issues as a volunteer, family advocate, events coordinator and fundraiser for various community-based non-profit agencies, including Victory Club House and Valerio Village, where she has served on the Board of Directors.

Duties of the 16-member Commission include reviewing and analyzing the community's mental health needs, and providing recommendations and advice to the Board of Supervisors and the Mental Health Director.
