YAROSLAVSKY APPOINTS FORMER MALIBU MAYOR JEFF JENNINGS TO COUNTY BEACH COMMISSION

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced the appointment of former Malibu mayor and private attorney Jeffrey D. Jennings to the Los Angeles County Beach Commission.

"I’m very pleased that Jeff has agreed to serve as one of my appointees on the Commission," Yaroslavsky said. "As mayor of Malibu, he was instrumental in working closely with me to repair and reopen Kanan Dume Road, and I know he will be an articulate and effective advocate for responsible stewardship of our coastline."

Jennings has been in private practice for the past 25 years. A graduate of Yale University and Stanford University Law School, his community affiliations include membership in the Malibu Rotary Club, the American Youth Soccer Organization, and the Malibu High School Governance Council, among others.

As one of two Supervisors representing portions of the Los Angeles County coastline, Yaroslavsky receives seven of the 20 appointments to the Los Angeles County Beach Commission. Duties of the panel include the review of all beach projects and service in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors.
