YAROSLAVSKY REAPPOINTS SANTA MONICA INVESTMENT EXECUTIVE JOHN C. LAW TO COUNTY CAPITAL ASSET LEASING CORP.
Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has reappointed John C. Law, Managing Director of Santa Monica-based Warland Investments, Inc., to serve on the Board of the Los Angeles County Capital Asset Leasing Corporation (LAC-CAL).
"Im pleased that John has agreed to continue serving as my representative on the LAC-CAL Board," Yaroslavsky said. "His real estate and investment management experience has been a real asset in his role on this panel."
Law, a resident of Santa Monica, was a partner in the firm of Bendixen & Law prior to joining Warland in 1990 as Managing Director. In addition to his professional activities, his community involvement includes serving as President of the Palisades Beach Property Owners Association from 1994-96, and since 1995, as a Board member and Treasurer for the Los Angeles Free Clinic and member of the Board of Governors for Cedars Sinai Medical Center, among other affiliations.
Duties of the five-member LAC-CAL Board are to assist the County in financing the purchase and maintenance of plant and machinery, as well as real and personal property assets, through issuing debt and structuring sale, rental and lease-back arrangements involving County assets.
