YAROSLAVSK ANNOUNCES DEDICATION OFTHREE MITSUBISHI SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES TO SHERIFF'S SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has announced that three Mitsubishi sport utility vehicles have been loaned to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department search-and-rescue teams based at Lost Hills Station in Agoura and two other stations in San Dimas and Marina del Rey.

"We are delighted that the Southern California Mitsubishi Dealers Advertising Association has been so willing to support our Sheriff's Department and its community policing efforts in this fashion," Yaroslavsky said. "When our teams are called upon to respond, the people they rescue may owe their lives to these vehicles and to the generosity of the dealers in loaning them for our use."

Yaroslavsky said that under the arrangement, the County would be responsible for all maintenance, repairs and liability insurance on the vehicles, which are valued at more than $32,000 each. The Dealers Association will retain title.
